Just went to a great talk by a wonderful artist, Novie Trump. She presented a wealth of info on how to be a professional in the arts -- everything from how to network and how to NOT wrap application CDs in 5,000 layers of bubble wrap and duct tape. Novie noted that "no matter how small the show is or what type of contact you have with a person, handle yourself professionally. It is a small, small world." Novie seems to set a great example with her grace and generosity.
